The things we ignore. The things we dismiss.
The things we eventually forget.
This is a celebration of all things boring. Jars. Brooms. Electric plugs. Clothespins. Tradition. Invention. Furniture. When everyday is like Sunday.
This is Space Encounters taking the long way round.
We bored ourselves with details; we wasted months on craftsmanship. We studied hangers and admired the grains on wood.
In attempting to define what is boring, the more we doubted the things we found interesting.
As a result, BORING THINGS stumbled on its purpose: to blur the line between young and old, Filipino and foreign, pop and tradition, dull and delightful, art and prosaic.
If we have bored you, then we’ve succeeded.
